A little Saturday adventure at Butterfly World

Hi guys! Today I wanted to tell you about a little adventure I went on this past Saturday at Butterfly World. Whenever I’m not traveling I like discovering places around South Florida on the weekends. Whether it’s a restaurant I haven’t tried yet or a fresh market or a local event, I like to pretend I’m a tourist in my hometown and do other things than going to the mall or the movies every weekend.

Butterfly World is located in Coconut Creek, about an hour north of Miami Beach. It’s the biggest butterfly house in the world and includes 2 aviaries, a research center, and a botanical garden. It is truly a magical place, from the entrance, where you hear Disney-theme-park-like-music, to the hundreds of butterflies flying all around you and the myriad of beautiful flowers and plants… a #plantlady’s fantasy!

So if you live in South Florida and you find yourself with nothing (new) to do, visit this beautiful place. You can also pack some snacks and have a picnic at Trade Winds Park before or after your stroll around the venue.

Without further ado, let me share some of the beautiful things I saw during my little adventure.

P.S: I went with my photographer friend, @chelinloscher, and we were both kids in a candy store at Butterfly World. Photography lovers, enjoy.
